Problem

Before partnering with Felix, the organization was undergoing a large-scale restructuring initiative impacting
multiple business units across Canada. With a planned notification of over 2,000 employees in a condensed
timeframe, the client faced challenges in coordinating consistent, high-touch outplacement support across diverse

Felix was brought in as a strategic outplacement partner to manage and deliver career transition support
nationally. Our team collaborated closely with the organization’s HR and employee relations teams to align on
rollout plans and implement the project across four key phases:

  1. Discovery & Manager Training – Gathering critical information through meetings with HR managers and
    delivering training sessions to equip leaders with the tools and language to manage exit conversations with
    empathy and professionalism.
  2. Logistics Planning – Coordinating complex logistics for the day of notifications, including deployment of
    over 120 certified coaches for onsite and virtual support across regions.
  3. Employee Support & Communication – Facilitating bilingual (English and French) informational sessionsfor all impacted employees to help them understand their career transition resources and next steps.
  4. Change Management for Remaining Staff – Delivering sessions to support retained employees in adapting
    to organizational change and maintaining engagement post-restructure.
