Professional Experience


Walter has over twenty years experience in human resources management, as a professional in executive coaching, career transition, executive search, and the recruitment and retention of key employees in the public and private sectors. Born and educated in Toronto he accepted a transfer to British Columbia while he was employed in sales and marketing with one of the largest and successful international business machine companies in the world.


He left this employment to complete his university education at the University of British Columbia where he graduated with honours and won two awards one of which was for leadership. He then re-entered the corporate world as an executive in mass media communications. He was subsequently offered a position as an executive assistant to a member of the British Columbia cabinet acting on behalf of the Minister in overseeing a complex set of public services for the Government of British Columbia.


Following this he was appointed as the Executive Vice President of a company providing rehabilitation services and re-employment assistance to people who had sustained serious injuries in the workplace and assisted them in re-entering the workplace. At this time he qualified for and was awarded a CHRP designation. He also earned his certification as an analyst of workplace behaviour assessments.


Responding to requests from senior executives who were involved in involuntary career transitions due to large scale corporate downsizings Walter became involved in providing professional career transition counselling and executive coaching. He was sought out by a major Canadian career transition consulting firm and was offered and accepted a position as a partner in the company in British Columbia.


Following the sale of this company to an international HR consulting firm he established an executive search firm which continued to provide executive coaching and other HR services to corporations and individual executives.
