> Felix's Biography

In 1986, Victor Apa & Associates Inc. set out to change the face of outplacement services in Canada. Building a highly successful One to One model, the firm quickly captured many of Canada's major banks and other leading national corporations as key clients - clients who recognized the unique advantages of high quality outplacement services for their employees, and the positive reflection that provided on their corporate brands.

VAA grew rapidly until it had a network of offices across Canada and dozens of consultants, coaches and associates working together as a single team. Corporate customers began to realize the type of coaching services provided to their displaced employees would be even more valuable to the high-potential employees it hoped to retain. Executive coaching, leadership development and management of high potential employees became a natural expansion of services already offered by the firm. Over time, leadership development grew to include work with intact teams, team development and teambuilding.

In 2003, a management-led buyout of the original ownership group rejuvenated the company and led to a renewed commitment to growing the business even further. An 18 month period of major renewal began with a commitment to ensure that every product and service offered by the company was the best in its class, on a global stage. Many of the ancillary services the team had offered over the years grew into full-fledged product and service offerings in their own right and a Leadership and Coaching Division was created.

Team members contributed to the development of a bold new corporate vision - to create a world-class firm committed to working with the world's best organizations. A new strategy energized the firm and a new brand identity was developed that clearly set the firm apart from its competitors.

In 2005, the firm changed its name to Felix Global Corp. - or just Felix among friends. Why Felix? Why not? Felix represents a new approach, a new attitude a new culture. There is no other firm that combines the knowledge, experience, technology, tools and partnerships into a single, focused entity designed to help business leaders manage talent and shape corporate culture, quite like Felix. The firm is so different, it demanded a name equally unique. Felix was born.

From its beginning in 1986, the firm was a leading advocate for the use of proven assessment instruments in its work. As part of its renewal in 2004, the firm sought to buy, build or partner with a world-class developer of assessment instruments that would be critical in understanding, tracking and shaping corporate cultures. After considerable research, it entered into a strategic partnership with UK-based Consulting Tools Ltd. in 2005 and created an Assessment & Measurement Division to manage its expanded portfolio of tools.

In 2006, Felix continues to work in its traditional areas, providing Career Management Services, for the biggest and best organizations in Canada and is rapidly growing its Leadership and Coaching services practice with some of the most advanced, market-leading organizations in the world. Leading organizations within Canada are also being attracted to the high-quality of its new Assessment & Measurement instruments and their application in terms of developing and managing talent in an increasingly competitive labour marketplace.

Today, Felix boasts a world-class array of technology-enabled products, professional services, expert skills and first-hand knowledge that is sharply focused on a common objective: helping the world's best organizations build high performance cultures. Felix is expanding its corporate customer base and organizations from farther afield are now recognizing the Felix advantage. With offices in the USA, Felix is poised to develop its opportunities throughout North America. By partnering with global alliances such as the Consulting Tools strategic business partner network, Felix is expanding its reach across the world's major oceans into expanding global markets.
